Don’t Fall Prey To Vaping Fails

vaping fails

It happens to the best of us – or so you assume. One minute, everything is going along just fine. Every inhale introduces the magnificent flavor you have so grown to enjoy into your lungs, and your exhale is possibly the best cloud you’ve ever created. When suddenly, without notice, your vaping is inexplicably constricted or your once enjoyable taste has turned noxious. What has gone wrong? And can it be avoided next time?

There is simply no sense in ruining an enjoyable, fun experience. Don’t get overly comfortable with your device. It takes care and patience to maintain your vape in order to get the best out of it and keep it in good condition. The following are a few tips on how to avoid some of the most common vaping fails, according to the experts.

Explosive Batteries

The unfortunate reality is, all lithium batteries can explode. It’s not the e-cigarette or the device itself that explodes – it’s the battery. And more times than not, it’s user error that is to blame. Never, ever allow your batteries to overheat, whether on a charger or sitting in your hot car. If your batteries, at any time, show abnormal signs, first let the battery cool off, and then dispose of it properly. Never use a battery that’s been damaged. To avoid battery damage and overheating, keep them in an appropriate case. Do not carry them loose in your pocket next to keys or spare coins.

Who Wants to Kiss the Dragon?

Whereas this may sound like a true adventure, kissing the dragon is possibly one of the worst fails ever when it comes to experiencing displeasure during vaping. What happens is this: in order to add more e-liquid, you remove the top of your drip atomizer. Before you can even think about it, you press the fire button and move your vaping device up to your mouth. But you have forgotten all about replacing the mouthpiece. What happens next? The hot coils come into direct contact with your lips. If you think about it, it is not hard to understand why it’s referred to as kissing the dragon.

No Heavy Hitters Here

No one wants a weak hit upon inhale. If this happens, you may have chosen the wrong PG/VG, the wrong e-liquid, or the wrong nicotine strength. FYI, cigarette-like products will give weaker hits than personal vaporizers – which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. And dipping can produce a much stronger nicotine hit and flavor than a device that is tank-style.

Vaping Should Not Be Wet

If you get a splatter of e-juice on your tongue and hear a sputtering sound when you press the firing button, you’ve experienced spit back. And it doesn’t taste anything like it tastes when it comes through as a vapor. What has happened is that you have overfilled your clearomizer or tank. If your device has a maximum fill mark, don’t fill it past that.

From Wet to Dry

A dry hit can occur when there is no e-liquid for your vape to fire up. All you’re doing is heating up your coils and burning off some of the leftover residue. You get a strong, nasty flavor that tastes hideous. Pay attention to the changing flavor of your e-juice as it gets lower and lower. When you notice the flavor changing, check your level, and refill as needed.

Truth be told, vaping fails can happen to anyone if you are not careful and do nothing to avoid them. Paying attention to the few things listed here, and possibly a couple of others, will enhance your vaping experience and assure you of repeated success in the future.
