How Do I Clean the Clearomizer?

Clean a Clearomizer

Clearomizers get their name from the transparent glass or plastic they are made from – that let you see how much e-liquid you have left. But after a while, your clearomizer will become clouded with residue. How often you clean your clearomizer will likely be determined by how often you use it, and how often you change your e-juice flavor. Let’s take a look at how to clean your clearomizer to enjoy a good vaping experience!

How To Clean Your Clearomizer

  • Remove either the top or the bottom (Done in the same way as when you refill your e-fluid)
  • Fill to about halfway and with warm water
  • Cover the opening with your thumb, and vigorously shake the tank
  • Dump out the water after a few seconds of good, hard shaking
  • You’re going to want to do this repeatedly, up to five times if necessary. Do until the water runs clean when you’re done dumping it out
  • For a deep clean, use lemon juice or alcohol on a Q-Tip, to brush clean inside your tank
  • The tank must be dried as much as humanly possible. In order to get all the condensation out, you can blow into the tank
  • Once the clearomizer is completely dried, reassemble without the drip tip
  • Replace the coils with clean or new coils
  • Make sure all your seals are pressed in place and that your unit won’t leak, gurgle, or spit

One of the most important things to remember is to, in and around the tank, eliminate any excess gunk and e-juice. This will allow you to fully enjoy any new e-juice flavor!

Priming Your Coil For Storage

If you’re going to be storing your vaping device, you’ll still want to prime it. To the wick and coil, add a couple of drops of e-juice. If you use a ring seal, put it back in. Now put on the top and you can store your clearomizer.

Preparing Your Device for Use

If you want to use your device right away, you will need to prime and fill it. Be careful not to fill your tank past its fill point, past the chimney, or past the air holes. Also, do not over prime as these can all lead to gurgling, spitting, and leakage.

Some vapers like to change or clean everything every time they change e-fluid flavors. Others don’t find it necessary. Experimentation is one of the best ways of finding the best devices, your favorite flavors, and developing cloud formation tricks. This applies to almost all aspects of vaping. The more you vape, the more you will experience. The more you experience, the more you will know about vaping and what works best for you.
