In practice, nail life depends on how much concentrate you load, what temperature you dab at, and how often you clean between sessions. Low-temp flavor sessions are gentler on the nail and extend its life. High-temp heavy dabs produce more residue and shorten the cycle. A quick dry swab after each session while the nail is still warm helps extend usable life significantly. When the flavor starts tasting stale even after swabbing, it’s time for a fresh nail.

Each nail is embedded with a 0.02mm ultra-thin stainless steel heating film that distributes heat evenly across the entire ceramic surface. How to Swap a Nail

Make sure the Cenote is powered off and the heating rod has cooled to room temperature. Unscrew the glass recycler from the base. Lift the carb cap to expose the ceramic nail. Use the included tweezers to grip and pull the old nail straight off the stainless steel heating rod. Press a new ceramic nail firmly onto the rod until it seats. Replace the glass recycler and carb cap. Ready to go — the entire swap takes under 30 seconds.

Extending Nail Life — Quick Maintenance Tips

While the nails are designed to be disposable, basic maintenance between sessions extends their useful life:

• After each session, let the nail cool slightly, then swab the inside with a dry cotton swab to remove loose residue while it’s still warm.
• For deeper cleaning, remove the nail and clean with a cotton swab dipped in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Let dry completely before reinstalling.
• Avoid overfilling the nail — Auxo recommends a dab size about half a Tic-Tac.
• Lower temperatures produce less residue and extend nail life.
