A Roll of Cash That Fires at 1.8V

The Yocan Black Cash is a 510 battery shaped like a rolled-up wad of U.S. dollars. That’s the hook. But the reason it’s worth reviewing isn’t the design — it’s the voltage spread. Four presets: 1.8V, 2.2V, 3.2V, 4.2V. That 1.8V and 2.2V floor puts it in the same low-voltage territory as batteries twice its price. Most novelty batteries give you three generic presets starting at 3.4V. The Cash starts where live resin carts actually perform best.

What It Does

The Cash is a small cylinder — 1.46″ wide, 2.8″ tall — wrapped in a silicone and polymer shell printed to look like a rolled-up stack of bills. Your cart screws into the top via standard 510 threading and drops into a concealed chamber. An adjustable height mechanism (borrowed from the Yocan UNI family) lets you raise or lower the cart inside the chamber so it sits flush regardless of whether you’re using a short 0.5g cart or a tall 2g cart.

An ambient light inside the chamber illuminates when you fire, so you can see your cart’s connection point and oil level. It’s a small detail, but it’s useful — especially in dim rooms.

Single-button operation. Five clicks on/off. Click through the four voltage presets. Two clicks for the 15-second preheat cycle. A lanyard comes in the box for carrying it at festivals, concerts, or anywhere you don’t want to fish it out of a pocket.

What’s Good

The voltage presets are unusually smart. Most batteries with 4 settings space them evenly — something like 2.6V, 3.0V, 3.4V, 3.8V. The Cash skips that approach and gives you two low settings (1.8V and 2.2V), one medium (3.2V), and one high (4.2V). That means you have genuine low-temp options for live resin, CBD, and terpene-forward carts — settings that most novelty batteries and even some “serious” batteries don’t offer. The jump from 2.2V to 3.2V is large, but it covers the two use cases most people actually need: low-temp flavor and medium-temp everyday vaping.

The adjustable height is a real feature. This comes straight from the Yocan UNI line, and it solves the problem most concealed batteries have — your cart is either too tall and sticks out awkwardly, or too short and doesn’t make solid contact. The Cash lets you dial in the cart height so it sits flush inside the chamber. It works with standard 1g carts and larger 2g carts without any fuss.

15-second preheat at low voltage. Thick oils and cold weather? Two clicks and the Cash warms your oil for 15 seconds before you draw. Combined with the 1.8V floor, you can warm live resin gently enough to restore flow without cooking terpenes.

The concealment actually works. From across a room, it looks like a roll of cash or a novelty desk item. The cart hides inside the chamber. Nobody’s identifying this as a vape battery unless they pick it up and look closely. The silicone body also makes it comfortable to grip and unlikely to slide off surfaces.

What’s Not

350mAh is small. Yocan claims ~65 sessions per charge, and that tracks for light use. But if you’re taking 25+ puffs per day, you’ll be charging daily. The compact money-roll form factor doesn’t leave room for a bigger cell. This is a going-out battery or a secondary device — not an all-day-every-day workhorse. If battery life is your priority, the Airis Cube 900 gives you nearly 3x the capacity for less money.

No screen. You cycle through the four voltage presets by clicking and watching LED color changes. It works fine once you memorize the colors, but after using batteries with OLED screens (like the Kodo Star), going back to LED codes feels like a downgrade. For a novelty battery at this price, no screen is expected — but it’s worth noting.

The voltage jump from 2.2V to 3.2V is big. There’s a full 1.0V gap in the middle of the range. If your ideal voltage is somewhere around 2.6V–2.8V (which is a common sweet spot for many cart types), you don’t have a preset that hits it. You’re either at 2.2V or jumping to 3.2V. The two low presets are great. The gap between them and the medium setting is the trade-off.

USB-C cable not included. The Cash charges via USB-C, which is great — but the cable isn’t in the box. You’ll need to use your own. Most people have one lying around, but it’s still an annoyance in a product you’re buying as a complete package.

Who Should Buy It

You want a conversation-starter that actually performs. The Cash looks like nothing else on the market. It’s funny, it’s memorable, and it vapes well — especially at low voltage. It’s one of the best gift-worthy batteries we carry because it works as both a novelty item and a daily driver.

You vape live resin or CBD and want low voltage in a fun package. The 1.8V and 2.2V presets put it in territory that most novelty batteries can’t touch. If you want low-temp flavor AND a unique design, the Cash does both.
