A dab pen, also known as a wax pen or concentrate pen, is a battery-powered vaporizer for cannabis concentrates. You load wax, shatter, budder, or similar directly into the heating chamber, press a button, and inhale. No torch needed.

Is a dab pen the same as a wax pen?

Yes. Same device, different names. You'll also see "concentrate pen" and "wax vaporizer" used for the same thing.

How much is a dab pen?

Dab pens start at $15.99 on Discount Vape Pen with the Ooze Gusher Globe, and most wax pens and nectar collectors in this collection cost $25–$40. Premium models with temperature control and e-rigs run $60–$130. If you see one advertised under $15 from a brand you don't recognize, check what the heating chamber is actually made of before buying.

What's the best cheap dab pen?

For the lowest price, the Ooze Gusher Globe ($15.99) comes with dual quartz coils and a glass dab tool. For the best value, the Yocan Iris ($25.99) adds a 900mAh battery and adjustable voltage. If you'd rather dip than load, the Ooze Hover ($24.99) is our cheapest electric nectar collector.

Can I use a dab pen for wax, shatter, and budder?

Yes, and all three work just fine. Budder and wax are the easiest to load since they're softer. With shatter, break off a small piece first rather than trying to load the whole slab.

Will a dab pen work with 510 cartridges?

Standard chamber wax pens are built for loose concentrate, not prefilled carts. If you want both in one device, pick a 2-in-1 like the Lookah Firebee, Ooze Duplex Pro, or RYOT Verb 710 Flip.

How do I clean a dab pen?

Run an empty heat cycle after each session to burn off residue before it hardens. For a proper clean, use a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol on the chamber walls and threads. Let it dry fully before the next use.

How long do dab pen coils last?

Typically 2–4 weeks with regular use. Burnt flavor and thin vapor are the signs it's time to swap. Replacement coils are cheap and easy to find for most brands.

Dab pens smell less than smoking. Their vapor fades faster and doesn't stick to fabric the way smoke does. It's still noticeable in an unventilated room though.
