When the team here at Discount Vape Pen came up with the idea of writing this article, we originally wanted to make a “best of 2020″ for cartridge vape batteries. Although there are a ton of great cartridge vape devices that were released this year, we could not deny that some of the best devices didn’t even come out this year. What we did was narrow it down to just 5 cartridge vape batteries that cost $25 or less based on size, functionality, battery life, and utility. Keep in mind that the title is ” The best cartridge vape battery under $25″, there are a bunch of great pod system vapes on the market but that is not our focus here. So without further adieu, the following devices are listed from 5 to 1 (1 being the absolute best).
This is a great vape to keep as a side piece…literally. It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and you can actually put a key ring on it so that your vape is always right there by your side. What’s cool about the Leaf Buddi U-Key is the retractable 510 connection, which will completely conceal a 1 ml size cartridge effectively making this cartridge battery look like an actual key fob. The major drawback of this device is the 350 man battery. Out of every cartridge vape battery on this list, the U-Key has the shortest battery life. Another minus, but much less important is that the highest voltage output is 4.0 volts. 4 volts isn’t bad unless you have really thick oil in your cartridge.
For the price you really can’t beat the Gethi G2. It is very small and incredibly light weight. It’s a variable voltage device like the rest of the vape batteries on this list and it can be adjusted to 4.2 volts to handle the thick oils. An added bonus is the preheat function. This battery uses a magnetic connection which is becoming a standard for cartridge devices, what’s cool is Airis is courteous enough to give you 2 magnetic adapters because they know the probability of someone accidentally throwing one in the trash after a cart is finished is very high. Your cartridge actually drops inside the device making it super discreet.
Unlike the device previously mentioned, this one has slightly more battery power with 450mah. It’s not terrible but it’s not great either. One slight drawback is the 12mm cartridge chamber that will fit most, but not all cartridges. An average .5ml or 1ml cart should work fine but if you have anything larger, you might be in trouble. Compare this with the Mystica Variable Voltage Battery for $12.99
The #3 spot was our hardest decision to make because this and the following vape both have very distinct strengths. As much as we love Airis devices, there is just one thing that this cartridge vape battery lacks. Battery life. It’s only 350mah but beside that the Mystica 3 has all the potential to have the top spot. Even though it only has a 350mah battery, it can be fully charged in a little over an hour! It has a preheat mode that won’t drain your battery, it’s super small and ridiculously light weight. What is even more awesome is the full metal chassis making it extremely durable. Of course this a super discreet variable voltage battery that can be adjusted to 4.2 volts.
Look we swear we have no affiliation with the Airistech company, it’s just that they make very good vapes that won’t break the bank. The Janus is the most useful cartridge vape battery on this list for the fact that you can also use Juul compatible pods to enjoy a good salt nice eliquid if your not in the mood for your oil cart. Today you can find other multi-use devices on the market, but just know that the Airis Janus was the first. It is variable voltage and equipped with a 650mah battery which will last much longer than previous cartridge vape batteries on this list.
Why is the Airis Janus not #1? For some of you this very well could be the best choice, however there are a couple key differences that factor into our decision to place it second best. First, although it is compact in size, it is larger than the previous devices. It also is not a discreet vape. Your cartridge will not drop inside the battery or flip down like the Leaf Buddi. The battery life is good but not great.
Cartisan has really planted it’s flag as one of the most reputable brands in the vape industry. And this cartridge vape battery takes the cake. The Black Box checks all the requirements. In the size category, it’s small and hides your cartridge very well and it even comes with two different sized magnetic connections so you won’t have to compromise discretion with larger cartridges. It’s variable voltage. It has a 900mah battery which will last long and it even has a battery indicator that will let you know when you need to recharge and will blink if you have a connection issue with your cartridge. It will fit ALL size cartridges. What we love about the Black Box is the rubber finish of the body which feels very comfortable in your hands and has the added bonus of durability because the rubber will absorb the shock if you accidentally drop this.
The truth is, this is the best cartridge vape battery at any price.
